Materials used in the Rotomolding Process

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
PVC, or plastisol, is the first material North Coast rotationally molded. It remains one of our main raw materials. Currently North Coast specializes in flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid lead and phthalate free PVC. Due to the flexibility of all plastisols when rotomolded, any amount of undercuts can be designed into a product. The PVC can also produce very precise details.
Rotationally molded PVC also exhibits exceptional durability, and works well in flexible bellow applications and many seat designs.

Polyethylene (PE)
In addition, North Coast rotomolds a wide range of rotomold grade polyethlene (PE) material, including Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Crosslink Polyethylene (XL), and Polypropylene (PP).
North Coast is able to meet customers’ requirements of custom-colored, compounded polyethylene formulated with FDA and NSF approved materials.
